Once you have purchased credits, they are added to your RMS account. You then assign credits to individual devices through the RMS portal. Navigate to the device you wish to manage, select the credit assignment option, and the device will be activated for the corresponding period.
Unassigned credits remain in your account and do not have a short expiry. However, it is advisable to check current Teltonika terms for the latest credit shelf life policy. Credits begin to be consumed from the moment they are applied to a device.
Devices can be enrolled into RMS without active credits, but full management features require active credits. Without credits, you can see that a device is enrolled but cannot use monitoring, configuration or remote access features. When credits expire on a device, that device's full management features are suspended. The device remains visible in your RMS account, but you will not be able to access monitoring data, push configurations or establish remote access sessions until new credits are applied. RMS will alert you as credits approach expiry so you can top up without interruption.
Credits are applied per device. When you purchase a pack of 12 credits, that covers one device for 12 months. If you have 10 devices all requiring annual coverage, you would need 120 credits in total - which is where our volume bundles become the most cost-effective option.
